If you think you have the skills and personality to make an improvement on the quality of somebody’s life while you are staying with them, then we would like to hear from you.
We require people with maturity, experience and a good knowledge of running a home. You will have a flexible, can-do approach whilst providing the client with the encouragement and emotional support that they may need to remain living as independently as possible.
There are three levels of care that we offer to our clients, from companionship to advance care. We will discuss and agree with you on what level of care is most suited to you before we send you on an assignment.
Preparation and cooking of meals in the absence of a meals delivery service or where special dietary or other needs as necessary. – Shopping for food and other household essentials. Assistance with personal care in morning/evening.
The assignment can be a short or long term, though a two week duration is general, but we have accommodated for longer.
Every Personal Carer we introduce is interviewed personally and CRB police checked. We check all references and ensure that all necessary training is current and valid. In addition, each Personal Carer is required to hold current Business Insurance, should you use your own car to take the client out. We recommend you take Public Liability Insurance should any damages occur in the home caused by yourself.
After completing your application form, your references and security checks will take place. Should these go through security successfully, an interview will be arranged.
We do our best to match our client/carer, so that your stay is a happy and successful one. All our carers are thoroughly vetted so that we can be confident about the introductions we make. Our clients have various needs from low category to the more advanced when they might need assistance with doing thing to help them through their day to day life.
The office staffs are vastly experienced and are here to advise and help you, should you need to talk to us about anything.

These are the essential qualities for this position. You will be self-employed and responsible for your own tax and insurance.
You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, particularly for clients with advanced needs. The basic tasks for this job will involve light housework, shopping, cooking, laundering, ironing and companionship. Clients with more advanced care will need a more supervisory role. This could also include night calls.
Your aim is to enable the client to remain in their own home, retaining their independence and much as possible providing relief to the family. Training is available for the successful candidate who joins our team. You are free to choose how frequently you choose to work.
Duties
Below are some of the tasks you may be required to do, we will match your skills, knowledge and training to Clients’ individual needs.
- Companionship
- Communication with Client’s family or advocates
- Light housework
- Shopping and daily meal preparation.
- Washing and ironing.
- Day to day administration required to run the home
- Escorting Clients for trips out
- Assistance with getting in/out of bed morning/evenings
- Assistance with getting dressed/undressed
- Prompting of medication.
- Client confidentiality
It is not a requirement that you should wear a uniform, but you will be expected to be clean and tidy in casual wear. You will be supplied with an ID badge, that you will present on the arrival of your assignment.
